Nouveau is one of the oldest Nigerian/expatriate-run schools in Lagos, with 40-years teaching experience. It has an international mix of babies and children from 3 months to 11 years old.
Nouveau has a full complement of trained baby-minders; nannies and graduate teachers with university degrees in education; all with years of experience in early childhood, nursery and primary school education. Our teachers undergo training on a systematic basis to keep abreast of new developments in children’s education.
At Nouveau, there are extraordinary crèches for babies (3-18 months); nursery 1 for toddlers (18-36 months); nursery 2 for children (36-48 months); kindergarten (reception) class for preschoolers (48-60 months); and primary schools for children from 5 to 11 years’ old.
The staff/children ratio in our crèches is one adult for every three babies. In each of our nursery and reception classes, we have two teachers: one Nigerian and the other expatriate; as well as nannies. We also have a compendium of primary school teachers, some specialized (e.g. in Arts & Crafts; French; ICT; music and physical education), and others more general.
We employ two registered nurses in full-time capacity.
